On 28 September 2026, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), led a delegation to visit HE Brigadier General Neak Vong, Commander of Infantry Brigade 42 of Military Region 4, a formidable frontline commander who remains prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and peace whenever the country faces military threats.
On that occasion, he conveyed the warm regards and sincere concern of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, and HE Dr Pich Chanmony to the brave armed forces. He emphasised that the visit was intended to encourage the troops and express gratitude for the invaluable sacrifices made by the soldiers and their families, including the ultimate sacrifice of their lives, in defending the homeland and Cambodia’s territorial integrity against invading enemies.
He praised HE Neak Vong as an exceptional military commander, highlighting his intelligence, bravery, strategic thinking, discipline, and understanding of military psychology. He also recognised the commander’s knowledge of his own forces and the enemy, as well as his firm commitment to defending the nation—qualities that are clearly demonstrated by the discipline of the troops under his command.
It is worth noting that this marks the fourth visit by the CHRC to Infantry Brigade 42 stationed at Ta Muen Temple. [The CHRC] will continue to mobilise generous supporters to provide sustained assistance to the troops.
