Sangkat Pong Tuek Residents Participated in CHRC-Organised Educational Session on “Human Rights and Law”

Phnom Penh: HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Chham Mari, CHRC Vice President and Director General of the General Department of Investigation and Human Rights Education, to head a CHRC working group to Sangkat Pong Tuek, Khan Dangkao, Phnom Penh, on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. The group delivered an awareness session on “human rights and law” to 35 (10 female) residents.

Topics included 1. Cambodia’s human rights protection mechanisms, 2. citizens’ rights and obligations, and 3. rights, freedoms, and laws.

The chief and council members of Sangkat, and representatives of the local residents warmly welcomed this educational and outreach event, contributing significantly to its successful outcome.
