The funds and food items were donated by Neakoknha Bandit Chea Ratana and Nekoknha Ly Hiek Ratana, as well as HE Khieu Bophaphal Ith Sarath, Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, and the CHRC, with a total amount of approximately 22 million riels.

It should be noted that this is the fourth time that HE [Keo Remy,] Senior Minister, has led and provided funds and food supplies to the association directly to help ease the burden of the association, and to ensure the fundamental rights and freedoms of the children living there. Moreover, he has donated 150 kilograms of rice per month to this association since March 2023. The relationship between the CHRC and this association began with the work of protecting the rights of children who face various problems and who have no relatives or receive no help. Therefore, the CHRC strives to find a place where they can live and have a good future.

Speaking on the occasion, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, thanked Neakoknhas and Excellencies, and ladies and gentlemen, for their generosity and helping helpless orphans. He expressed his appreciation to the association for its significant contribution to promoting and protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of children, especially the rights to physical and mental health, including the right to education and so on. At the same time, he also commended the effective management and noted that the rights of the children living there were fully respected without any violations. In addition, he stated that, “if any children experience health issues, they can reach out to the CHRC working group, which will assist in promptly arranging hospital care for them.”

Finally, he directed the management and all association staff to continue to pay attention to the care of children and to absolutely avoid any inappropriate behaviour or violation of their rights. In addition, he called on all philanthropists to support this association as well as other orphanages, which is a gesture of humanitarian spirit, shared culture, and participation in promoting children’s rights.
