Krol Ko Commune Residents Participated in CHRC-Organised Educational Session on “Human Rights and Law”
Svay Rieng province: HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Khaing Chhay, a CHRC member, to head a working group to Krol Ko commune, Svay Chrum district, Svay Rieng province, on Monday, 17 August 2026. The group delivered an awareness session on “human rights and law” to 78 (14 female) residents. Topics included 1. Cambodia’s human rights protection mechanisms, 2. citizens’ rights and obligations, and 3. rights, freedoms, and laws.
This educational outreach event benefited from strong support from the provincial leadership—including the provincial governor—and saw the participation of the district governor, commune chief, council members, and local residents, contributing significantly to its successful outcome.
