CHRC working group and volunteer lawyers addressed a number of cases at Correctional Centre 2 (M2).
HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), tasked HE Sin Bunthoeurn, a CHRC member, with heading a working group to M2 to investigate and coordinate the arrangements for two girls from the Cambodia Child Development Organization to visit their mother at M2 on Monday, 10 August 2026. The working group, which included CHRC volunteer lawyers, subsequently met with a detainee who had requested assistance regarding a concurrent sentence and obtained her thumbprints in accordance with established procedures. During the visit, the working group also went to Correctional Centre 1 (M1), M2, and Phnom Penh Prison PJ to open the CHRC complaint boxes.
